  • SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

     

    Current SAM Undergraduate Students:

     

    -This is the main scholarship application for more than 140 endowed scholarships.  To apply, click here. 

     

    -You will be considered for all scholarships for which you meet the criteria.

     

    -The deadline to submit your completed application for these scholarships is January 30, 2023.

     

    -The Hyman I. Jacobson and Blumenfeld Humor Awards (see right), and the Andy Dickson Memorial Scholarship (see below) have separate applications.

     

     

    Current SAM Graduate Students & Alumni: 

     

    If you are a current graduate student, or an alumnus planning to enter graduate school to pursue a degree in Fall 2023, you can apply for our graduate scholarships. These are some of the most competitive scholarships we offer because there are fewer available. You'll be considered for all scholarships for which you meet the criteria.

    If you're involved with graduate research, be sure to apply for the Miller Research Award by uploading your thesis/project in that section of the application. 

     

    The deadline to submit your completed application for these scholarships is January 30, 2023.

     

    Note: If you are a current senior going to grad school in Fall 2023, DO NOT use this application--use the UNDERGRADUATE application.

     

     

    Andy Dickson Memorial Scholarship

     

    Created by Andy's family & alumni of the Phi chapter in memory of Andrew 'Andy' Dickson (Phi '83), a member who exemplified the Sigma Alpha Mu ideals and was always there as a friend and brother. In his honor, this $3,000 scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate who best exemplifies Andy’s traits of friendship, brotherhood, leadership, and dedication. Leadership, both in the chapter and on campus, is a key consideration. Preference may be given to students from Oklahoma, where Andy was raised.

     

    To be considered for this scholarship, an undergrad student must be nominated by a peer from his chapter. This is separate from our other scholarship applications. An e-mail will be sent to the frater nominated, asking him to complete the application. For more information about Andy & this scholarship, click here.

          Hyman I. Jacobson Top Senior            Scholar Award

     

    If you are a graduating senior during the 2022-23 academic year and would like to be considered for this award of $2,000 for the highest grade point average. To apply, click here.

     

     

          Blumenfeld Humor Award

     

    An award for an outstanding work of comedy. 

    This is for an original work of comedy. It can be a stand-up routine, a video, a blog or website, a song, an article or paper--just as long as it's original and it's funny. The award is $1,000 and one award is offered each year. The deadline to apply is February 19,2024. To apply, click here.

     

    This application is ONLY for the Blumenfeld Humor Award and not any other scholarships. You may also upload a humor submission as part of the regular undergraduate and graduate applications.
