Ira Lind Society

In 2003, Sigma Alpha Mu announced the formation of the IRA LIND SOCIETY for planned gifts to the SAM Foundation.  Purpose of the Society is to identify and recognize alumni and friends, men and women who remember the ΣΑΜ Foundation or ΣΑΜ Foundation of Canada with their estate or other gifts.  Founder Lind was the first fratre to make an estate commitment to the Foundation.  

Planned gifts of any size are appreciated and will be used to support the mission of the Foundation.  Gifts of $25,000 or greater may be designated by the donor to create a named endowment to support a Foundation program or initiative.

If you have already remembered the Foundation in your will or through another instrument, or if you intend to do so, please contact the Foundation.  We want to acknowledge your generosity and welcome you to membership in the Ira Lind Society.

In Your Will

Should you wish to include the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation in your will, the appropriate language may be as follows:  “I give and bequeath to the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation, Inc. (or Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation of Canada) the sum of $______ (or  ____% of my residual estate) to be used for the following purposes (you specify them), or as the Foundation shall determine in pursuit of its educational purposes (you select).”  The Foundation is a not-for-profit 501c (3) corporation, Federal Tax ID number is 13-6093817.
